Get a Sneak Peek: A Morsel of This Year’s Inner West Film Fest Program!

The 2nd Inner West Film Fest [IWFF] has announced the first five films from this year’s program, including actor and director Faouzi Bensaïdi’s comical road film, DÉSERTS, which premiered at the Cannes Director’s Fortnight; and the Australian premiere of DRUGSTORE JUNE, co-written, produced and starring comedian Esther Povitsky, with a side-splitting support cast, including Beverly D’Angelo, James Remar, Haley Joel Osment, Bobby Lee and executive producers Bill Burr and Al Madrigal, in this satire promising to leave audiences grinning (and groaning) from ear to ear!

Screen Australia has announced over $1 million of development funding for 19 feature films, 13 television dramas and one feature-length project to be released online. MIFF 70 SHORTS AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) has announced the recipients of the 2022 MIFF Shorts Awards, which reward filmmakers with more than $63,500 in prizes. An in-person ceremony was held  at ACMI on Thursday evening with seven out of the 78 films in the program accoladed by a jury consisting of filmmaker Tiriki Onus (Ablaze), director James Vaughan (Friends and Strangers), and film writer Jourdain Searles.
