Reading Cinemas announces participation in National Cinema Day campaign
Reading Cinemas Australia, an affiliate of Reading International, Inc. (“Reading”), announced today that it will be participating in the National Cinema Day on Sunday August 27th, under each brand – Reading Cinemas Australia, Reading Cinemas New Zealand, and Angelika Film Centre, incorporating the State Cinema in Hobart and Angelika South/City/SQ in Brisbane.

MIFF announces 2023 Award Winners
The MIFF Awards offers a total prize pool of over $300,000 AUD across a suite of six award categories. Along with the second iteration of the festival’s prestigious Bright Horizons Award, this year sees the introduction of the First Nations Film Creative Award as well as the return of the Blackmagic Design Australian Innovation Award, the Audience Award and the MIFF Schools Youth Jury Award (via the MIFF Schools Youth Jury).
