Get a Sneak Peek: A Morsel of This Year’s Inner West Film Fest Program!

The 2nd Inner West Film Fest [IWFF] has announced the first five films from this year’s program, including actor and director Faouzi Bensaïdi’s comical road film, DÉSERTS, which premiered at the Cannes Director’s Fortnight; and the Australian premiere of DRUGSTORE JUNE, co-written, produced and starring comedian Esther Povitsky, with a side-splitting support cast, including Beverly D’Angelo, James Remar, Haley Joel Osment, Bobby Lee and executive producers Bill Burr and Al Madrigal, in this satire promising to leave audiences grinning (and groaning) from ear to ear!

Screen Australia has announced three new programs for boosting below-the-line (BTL) capacity across the country: BTL Next Step to help mid-career practitioners gain a credit in four key roles; the Production Crew Skills Training Fund supporting productions to provide work-based learning; and the Transferable Skills & Returning Crew Training Fund to support training opportunities for practitioners returning after a career break, or people in other industries with transferable skills moving into the screen industry.
